Development of musical skills of preschool children in a montessori facility

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of musical skills in preschool children in Montessori institutions. The aim of this work is to provide a detailed view of the general Montessori pedagogy and its musical area, as well as to explore how this method can be used to develop musical skills in preschool children. In the theoretical part, the history and life of Maria Montessori are first described, followed by an explanation of the basic Montessori principles on which the philosophy is based. This is followed by a focus on child development and basic musical concepts associated with it. The theoretical part is concluded with an extensive chapter on the musical development of children and the musical area in the Montessori environment. The practical part is incorporated into the theoretical part of this work in the form of short reflections for greater clarity and empirical reflection of the issue. Motivation of parents in choosing alternative nursery schools - Maria Montessori

The aim of this bachelor thesis entitled: "Motivation of parents in choosing alternative kindergartens - Maria Montessori" is to describe and analyze in more detail the reform pedagogy of Maria Montessori, the development of preschool Montessori facilities in the Czech Republic and comparison with traditional kindergartens. It also aims to present the specific use of the principles of Montessori pedagogy in the selected facility and outline other alternative pedagogical directions. The empirical part uses the research method of interviewing parents in Montessori kindergarten. The interview is purely anonymous and the aim is to find out for what purpose they put their children in the kindergarten, what they expect from it and if they apply Montessori pedagogy outside it. Montessori pedagogy in the Czech education

The thesis processes the use of Montessori pedagogy in the Czech environment. The introductory chapters of this thesis describe the life and work of Marie Montessori, the fundamental anthropological thoughts and principles, and the development of Montessori approach. The thesis maps out by descriptive method the current institutions and primary schools which operates in the Czech environment. The following chapters contain case studies of two Montessori primary schools in Prague. The results of this thesis show that the approach of Marie Montessori is not just a rigid conception, but that it is still capable of development in the living process in school practice.
Initiation into the Mystery of the Kingdom of God in the Good Shepherd Catechesis Programme for Preschool Children

This thesis deals with the ways of initiation into the mystery of the Kingdom of God for children aged 3 to 6 in the Good Shepherd Catechesis programme. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the authors of the programme, Sofia Cavalletti and Gianna Gobbi, the historical background of the programme's origin and its theological and pedagogical bases are introduced. The theological foundations are compared with the requirements laid out for the catechesis after the Second Vatican Council. The pedagogical bases are presented in the context of Maria Montessori's pedagogy they are patterned on. The core of the thesis consists of the catechesis of the chosen topic - The Kingdom of God. At first, the selected parables are introduced from the biblical point of view, and then particular parables of the Kingdom of God are presented, which the children are gradually initiated into. The stress is put on those aspects that the catechesis of preschool children focuses on and reasons for the selection of the parables are given. The practical part of the thesis deals with hands-on experience, especially with children`s verbal and visual interpretations of the topic.
